Energy Painting – Therapy or a New Style?

Energy Painting – Therapy or a New Style?

Art often surprises with the appearance of new styles, striving not only to give the world beautiful creations, but also to amaze with novelty. Artists who create in the style of energetics seek to lay a spiritual connotation in their works, focused not only on visual perception. As a rule, this trend in modern painting is associated with the name of the American artist-impressionist Julia Watkins (Julia Watkins). Most people today are visuals, that is, those who perceive most of the information about the world with their eyesight.

Can painting possess spiritual power, acting not only on the leading channel of perception – vision? Creators working in the style of energy, believe that yes. An unusual combination of color and shape, bright colors that are not characteristic of the real world are the distinctive features of energy. In order to perceive the philosophy inherent in the paintings of the creators of this direction, it is necessary to contemplate their work for some time. Impressionist artist Julia Watkins, while drawing, tries to show how the invisible energy permeates everything around her.

The need to create paintings that visualize energy was inspired by Julia an unusual dream in which she flew over a mountain lake. The artist called her first picture “The First Dream”. Since then, Julia has gained recognition by winning awards at the Gold Coast Art Show 2010, Masters 2009, the 1991 Neo-Con show and numerous solo exhibitions. The artist herself believes that her task is broader than creating pictures: “The purpose of my work is to increase human consciousness and help people connect with the universal flow of energy. My art serves as a catalyst for this compound.

Each of my paintings is filled with spiritual energy. I have explained in more detail at ekurd.net for all my artworks and what inspired me to paint all that. The energy of the Path to the light is the universal meditative, spiritual part of the vortex, which helps either find your own path of spiritual growth, or clears the path to advance to the next plane of consciousness. ” According to Julia, the contemplation of her paintings can be a kind of therapy for spiritual purification, self-knowledge, the awakening of intuition, and stress relief. Whether this is true, anyone can check for himself by looking at the artist’s paintings. Be that as it may, the methodology was adopted by psychotherapists. One of the new areas of work with such painting is a kind of “portrait session” created by psychotherapists during a conversation with a client.

Examining the client’s problems from different angles, the therapist transforms the drawing in the same way, adding new details. We are, of course, talking about abstract painting, created from lines and color spots. It often turns out that disparate lines at the end of the session add up to the completed composition. Such paintings are also called energy, as they are designed to harmonize the state of the client and help him find an internal solution to urgent problems.

For some, this method is more comfortable than the traditional one, allowing you to connect an unexpected (and usually not used) channel of perception to the solution of the problem – vision. Another technique in psychotherapy using energy paintings is to create them by the clients themselves. Drawing skills are not required to comprehend your inner self. All that is needed is just to start drawing, not trying to think over the plot, not evaluating the drawn, but surrendering to the process, allowing yourself to create without mind control. Materials for creativity can be any, according to the choice of the client – the main thing is that no one distracts in the process. You can use relaxing music to dive.

To tune in, you can also first draw with your eyes closed and, when the mind calms down, open your eyes and begin to do everything that asks for paper, trusting more in the inner sense of beauty and intuition. You can arbitrarily skeptical about the technique itself and the fact that the paintings carry a certain spiritual content.

However, one cannot fail to admit that such a way of harmonizing personality, distracting from problems and avoiding stress is no worse than usual hobbies. And for those who love everything unusual and not alien to experiments, it can be an interesting discovery of new opportunities in themselves.

The Mystery of the Cross of Euphrosyne of Polotsk. Personal Investigation of Alexei Bukhovetsky

The Mystery of the Cross of Euphrosyne of Polotsk. Personal Investigation of Alexei Bukhovetsky

The Polotsk local historian, Alexei Bukhovetsky, shared with VitebskCity.info his own investigation into the disappearance of the Belarusian shrine – the cross of Euphrosyne of Polotsk, and also told about his possible whereabouts. Carrying out the investigation, Alex talked with many people.

First of all, with those who knew mother Olga very closely. So he found out – the cross of St. Euphrosyne may well be in Polotsk! Last week, the local historian met with Vera Fedorovna, who, in fact, was the best friend of the nun Olga, and when the nun became completely weak, she helped her with the housework. The meeting took place at Vera Fedorovna’s house. Of course, Alexei asked a lot about the cross of Euphrosyne. He additionally saved the recording of the conversation to the recorder. – Vera Fedorovna, tell us what you know about the cross of Euphrosyne of Polotsk? You have been near mother Olga for a long time. What did she tell you about the place where the relic could be hidden? – Mother always said that the cross of St. Euphrosyne is here in Polotsk. – Vera Fedorovna began her story. – In those days, mother Olga was a singer in choirs in the Transfiguration Church. People came to the temple and brought a cross with them.

These were elderly nuns. They gave everyone to attach to the cross. Applied and Olga. Then no one knew what kind of a cross it was. Then they began to say that this is the cross of Euphrosyne. He was very similar to the real one. – So mother Olga saw the cross? – Yes, not only saw, but also applied to the cross. And when they found out that the shrine was kept behind Polota (the river in Polotsk), they began to go there – they worshiped and healed.

It was somewhere in the 70s of the last century. – Vera Fedorovna continued her story. – In those years there was a great persecution of believers and the cross was hidden. Listening to the story, Alexei Bukhovetsky recalled how he personally asked mother Olga about the place where the cross of Euphrosyne could be. And she answered him: “Alexei, the cross is here in Polotsk! I know that for sure! ” As a result of his own investigation, the Polotsk local historian found out that, according to the nun Olga (Dorozhko), the novices of the Polotsk monastery in 1929 managed to exchange gold and a simple cross that they brought with them from Polotsk to Mogilev for a relic, and then deliver the Euphrosyne cross back to Polotsk. During the Great Patriotic War, one of the nuns, mother Valentina, kept the cross of Euphrosyne of Polotsk on the territory of the monastery, and after the war, taking the cross with her, she went to live beyond the Polota River (Slobodskaya St.).

According to the nun Olga, the nuns were going to bury the cross, “… so that it would not go to the secular authorities and the NKVD”. At the beginning of the 70s of the last century, the nuns, the guardians of the cross, suggested that mother Olga come and adore the relic, but she could not do this because of a serious illness. Alexei Bukhovetsky said that he was repeatedly asked: “Why didn’t they return the cross back to the monastery?” Everything is very simple.

It was a time when the church and everything connected with it was negatively related to society. And so the nuns did their best to hide the shrine from the worldly authorities. The territory of the monastery, its temples and structures were in very poor condition. Holy Cross Cathedral, St. Euphrosyne’s Church were almost completely destroyed. The Transfiguration Church required major repairs. To return the shrine – the cross of Euphrosyne – at that time there was simply nowhere to go! There have been many cases in the history of the church when believers hid their shrines in order to preserve them.

The relics of Sergius of Radonezh were replaced and hid repeatedly, both by the ministers of the church and the parishioners. But not only church objects of worship were destroyed. Masterpieces of world art were smelted into gold and silver bullion. And if museum rarities were protected by the state, then church shrines could be saved only by hiding them or replacing them. So it could be with the cross of St. Euphrosyne. Indeed, for some, he was an ordinary golden thing, encrusted with precious stones, the subject of profit and enrichment. And very few recognized the cross of Euphrosyne as the greatest masterpiece of art of the XII century. Where, nevertheless, is one of the main Orthodox relics? Is it lost forever? Some are looking for him in Russia, others in America, others in Germany, and the cross may be very close – in Polotsk! When Alex asked the nun Olga: “Mother, do you think they will ever find the cross of Euphrosyne?” She always answered: “Come, Lesha, time and the reverend Euphrosyne will indicate where he is, or they will find the cross through someone else.”

xBut not yet time! ”In one of the programs about Wang she was asked the question about the cross of Euphrosyne: will he be found? Wang said that the cross will be found when the time comes!

Postcrossers Presented to Vitebsk Residents an Exhibition of Postcards for the 175th Anniversary of Renoir

Two postcrosser girls presented a unique collection of postcard reproductions of paintings by Pierre Auguste Renoir at an exhibition in Vitebsk, BelTA has learned. The exhibition of postcards “Artist of Happiness” opened today in the Vitebsk Regional Museum of Local Lore on the 175th anniversary of the birth of the French impressionist artist. The exhibits were provided by philokartist collectors Elena Irmos from Vitebsk and Alena Yasko from Minsk. Citizens and guests of Vitebsk can get acquainted with the work of the artist, whose paintings are filled with warmth and light, an inexhaustible love of life.
The exhibition features 286 postcards, reproductions, mainly after the war.

But there is also a unique instance: the pre-revolutionary card of Lapin publishing house. “Renoir’s work in my life appeared by chance. Leafing through the World Book Encyclopedia for a university report, I saw a reproduction of the painting “On the Terrace”. She struck me: she had never seen such a colorful, vibrant, warm work! – says Elena Irmos. – I was carried away by impressionism, and the impression led to a serious passion. She began looking for postcards with reproductions of Renoir and Claude Monet. This was helped by postcrossing – an international project for the exchange of postcards.

Soon I met journalist Alena Yasko, my hobby colleague. She helped me become a philocartist and even more inspired to further replenish the collection, which already has 350 postcards with reproductions of Renoir and Monet. ” The idea to organize an exhibition of postcards for girls was a long time ago, and the famous Vitebsk local historian and philocartist Arkady Podlipsky helped to realize it. According to him, collecting in Belarus is not going through the best of times, and therefore it is so nice to see young people in the ranks of enthusiasts.

And what Elena Irmos and Alena Yasko did is generally close to a feat, since their collections can be replenished only by mail, correspondence. After all, all the cards are from foreign publishers. As noted by Alena Yasko, who was contacted by phone at the opening of the exhibition, some foreign postcrossers, seeing the exceptional enthusiasm and amazing results of collectors, volunteered to help and even buy rare sets for their Belarusian colleagues.

South, Bilevo, Medical Center, and in the Future – Cheryomushki, Nicropolis, Luchesa…

South, Bilevo, Medical Center, and in the Future – Cheryomushki, Nicropolis, Luchesa…

Vitebsk is actively growing with new microdistricts: over the past five years, more than 11 thousand apartments have been built in the city. Would you like to live in a young, modern neighborhood of the city? In the one that is habitually called sleeping, but in fact it is just compact and a little autonomous, has its own unique appearance, character and mood. More recently, in Vitebsk, it was fashionable to live in the South.

Then, about ten years ago, this microdistrict was considered the most prestigious; due to it, the regional center seemed to expand simultaneously both lengthwise and across. The townspeople were surprised: it seems that the population remains almost the same, and new buildings are populated at space speed. It turned out that the construction of the vast micro-district South was only a rehearsal. And the most ambitious in the history of Vitebsk region was the construction of a city in the city – the Bilevo microdistrict. Today, here, on the former outskirts, almost in a wasteland, tens of thousands of citizens live.

Shops, kindergartens and a school were built, new facilities for social and cultural life were laid, cozy squares and playgrounds were equipped. And if yesterday, many new settlers, deciding on the construction of their own housing, confidently said: “Only not in Bilevo!”, Today many seek here. Cleaner air, close to the lake, a stone’s throw from the forest. Mothers of many children, Irina Savina and Olga Chistyakova, for example, specially built housing with state support in Bilevo. “Already, my husband and seniors Andrei and Masha ride their bikes every day, ” Olga says. – When we lived in the center, there was no such opportunity. And you see, literally a kilometer from our house, the construction of a unique zoological park is being completed.

The idea is very interesting, animals will settle on almost 90 hectares. The landscape is natural. True, the delivery of the facility due to lack of money, as we understand it, is a little delayed. But there already live fallow deer, goats, deer. My children and I often go on an excursion. In fact, our area can be called children and youth. Almost every family has kids, so there is no time to be bored in Bilevo, according to the new settlers. The Vitebsk city executive committee emphasized: Bilevo is not the only new microdistrict. The head of the construction department Igor Kadushko lists: – The medical center microdistrict turned out to be very promising – it was built up very quickly, it remains to build several more houses.

For the convenience of residents, a trolley bus was put in there, a kindergarten was built. Now we are conducting point building in the city center. For the third time, the builders are building on the site of recently demolished dilapidated houses along the streets of Mira and Chapaev. Housing is being built along the streets of Pravda, Smolenskaya, Warriors-Internationalists. According to the long-term plan for the development of the city, new residential districts will appear in Nicropolis and Luches. Now we have under construction over 20 high-rise buildings. About 12 more will be in store for next year. Over the past six months, about 1.3 thousand Vitebsk families celebrated housewarming. Recently, all important architectural and construction projects in Vitebsk have been submitted for discussion by citizens.

It was the same with the project of public housing development of the central part of the city in the area of Truda Street. This is a very attractive site, which used to be occupied by the private sector. Now there is already being built the first house – four-section, six-story, with an attic. Deputy Director of the UKS of Vitebsk Tatyana Khokhlova noted that the next step is the start of construction opposite the Bilevo new quarter under the romantic name Cheryomushki. It is very promising, it will house more than a dozen houses. It is impossible not to notice that today, along with economical housing, it is being built with improved quality characteristics. Architects pay much attention to the appearance of new buildings, which organically fit into the urban landscape. Many houses can be admired as masterpieces of architectural art.

For example, someone who has not been in Vitebsk for the past five years will be surprised by the unique ensemble of urban development at the entrance to the city from Minsk. Here, on the elevation, a real castle wall is built – a whole complex of high-rise buildings similar to palaces. An excellent business card of the capital “Slavic Bazaar”. By the way, despite the considerable cost of meters, housing here was very much in demand. Numeral Over the past five years, over 11 thousand apartments have been built in Vitebsk, including more than 620 individual houses.

About 7.5 thousand apartments were commissioned for those in need of better housing conditions. Housewarming parties were celebrated by nearly 750 large families and about five hundred displaced persons from emergency and dilapidated housing. More than 200 apartments received social status. Yegor Dzhandarov, head of the department of housing construction and infrastructure of the committee for architecture and construction of the Vitebsk regional executive committee, noted: new microdistricts have appeared in recent years in virtually all cities and regional centers of the region.

In total, over a five-year period, almost 2 million square meters of total housing area have been built. In addition to Vitebsk, socially significant large microdistricts appeared in Orsha, Polotsk, Novopolotsk. As a result, almost 20 thousand families improved their living conditions.
